Well now, wasn’t that interesting? Have you ever had one of those days where you hurry around all day to get everything done because there’s something on the tube that night you’ve been waiting for only to fall asleep half way through because you wore yourself out getting ready for it? (deep breath) Well, I’ve done that. Too bad it didn’t happen tonight. McCain probably won on points over all, but not by much, and that’s not what he needed to do. He needed to kick Obama’s ass decisively. That didn’t happen. My main take on the debate can be summed up in one word: Boooooorrrrrriiing.
I think McCain’s mortgage nuke was interesting, but it’s a bad idea and was not presented well. In any case, after the bailout fiasco, either McCain’s mortgage nuke or Obama’s “net spending cuts” are going to annihilate what is left of our economy. We’re in a world of shit here. I hate having to pick between the lesser of two evils. One thing though, it’s not guilt by association. It’s character by association, and that works great. Obama’s a rat bastard and he hangs out with rat bastards.
It’s incredible to me that we may be about to elect a radical socialist activist to the Presidency of the United States of America. Apparently Karl Rove, who’s on H&C right now, thought McCain did a good job setting up some issues to attack on so we’ll see, but right now I’m not real happy about the performance. I think I’ll go clean my rifle.
