There are a lot of people I admire for any number of reasons. My late father, Dan Fitzgerald, and President Ronald Reagan generally top the list, but there are many others. One of those people is Michelle Malkin. To the five or six readers of this blog it’s probably evident why. She’s passionate about a lot of the same things I am. She’s way better at writing than me, and probably better educated as well. There’s also the fact that she’s an intelligent, petite and very attractive Filipina, which for me is important because that makes her very very much like my wife, so I kinda have to have a really good opinion of her or I’ll be in a lot of trouble.

I say this because of something I just read over at her blog. It’s not a problem for her because she has thick skin and can take this kind of crap very well. I say it because it’s a blatant example of what I believe is part of the pathology of the left.

Ok, you read that. Now think about the Florida fiasco in 2000. What do these two things have in common? Notice that Gail, the person who sent the email, accuses Michelle of being a racist, but uses hateful racist rhetoric to make her point. Does this seem as idiotic to you as it does to me? In 2000 it was the Gore campaign that tried to cherry pick the counties they wanted to recount. They’re the ones who tried to pull a fast one with the absentee ballots. It was the Gore campaign who filed the lawsuits. Yet, they’re the one’s who were so quick to accuse the Bush campaign of “stealing the election.”

Do you see the similarity there? They try to make us into them. I wonder what the pathology is there exactly? Do they hate this about themselves, so they try to project it onto those they hate? Or do they simply assume that since they are cheaters, liars, racists and filthy fascist bastards, we must be as well? I mean, how could we beat them in a Presidential race if we’re not worse people than they are? I’m not sure what to think about this. I wonder if there’s a way to use it against them?
