Liberal Education

Why do people believe democrats are better on economic issues than republicans? I just saw poll results showing that Obama leads McCain by 10 percentage points on the question, “Who is better on the economy?” How does this happen? Are there really that many people out there who don’t know how a market economy is supposed to work? The only reason this many people would be this ignorant is their education, or lack there of. Given that, there really is only one place we can place responsibility for this: The education system.

Even many college graduates, even graduates with degrees in economics and finance, think raising taxes and government spending programs are the way to manage an economy. The current situation tends to prove this out. Our markets seem to be regulated to great degree on everything except for the one thing, the only thing, they should be regulated on: Honesty.
